What is the A1 Basisexamen Inburgering Buitenland?
It is the basic civic-integration exam you take abroad (at a Dutch embassy or consulate) before moving to the Netherlands. It has three parts: Reading, Speaking and Knowledge of Dutch Society (KNM).

Which language is everything in?
The texts, questions and answers are in Dutch, because it is a Dutch exam. The explanations and word help are available in English, Tagalog and Dutch.
What is the difference between Practice and the exam simulation?
Practice gives instant feedback, explanations and word help, without a timer. The exam simulation is timed (9 texts, 18 questions, 35 minutes) and gives a grade at the end, like the real test.
How is it graded?
You get a grade from 1 to 10. The real exam passes at a 6; on Inburgo we set the bar at a 7 so you are well prepared.
Can I see my progress?
Yes. On your account page you see your past results, grades and a trend over time.
Is this the official exam?
No. Inburgo is practice material in the style of the real exam, not official exam questions.
